Biography
Gabriela (“Gaby”) Gonzalez was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in both Southern California and Mexico. She received her paralegal certificate from Southwestern College in 2007. Before joining McKenzie Scott, Gaby spent 8 years as a Legal Assistant at Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc., supporting in the much-needed field of indigent federal criminal defense.
Growing up in Los Angeles, as a Mexican-American child, Gaby learned at an early age that her community was too often disadvantaged in systemic and unfair ways and decided that she wanted a career where she could work to uplift her community. Gaby is proud to dedicate her time and efforts to taking care of clients, working for justice, and making sure that everyone—regardless of means—is treated fairly and with dignity.
During her free time, Gaby loves spending time with her family, her pets, and trying new recipes.
